Why should I pay monthly instead of a one-off cost?
Unfortunately, many companies fall into a trap of paying upfront for a website and then having to negotiate a price for support when they encounter a problem or when they need to get their site updated. A pay monthly service model, like ours means that it is in the interest of Kitching Ltd to provide ongoing support and advice so that you do not consider leaving. It puts the onus on the service and not just the ‘product’.
Is this a website builder or web design service?
Kitching Ltd is a web design service! We create all your pages and make all changes, updates & amendments for you in the future for as long as you remain subscribed. If you want to make changes yourself - then that's where our web builder comes in - but there's no obligation for you to make changes yourself.
What if I already have a domain name?
No problem, you can either transfer this to us and you can then benefit from unlimited email accounts (and more) or you can keep it with your current domain registar - either way we can use any existing domain.
Is there a contract?
No, we don't believe in contracts. You'll be charged every month and if you cancel, there will be no hard feelings - in fact, you can continue to use our web builder free of charge (for as long as you want)

Can I upgrade my plan?
You can upgrade and downgrade your plan whenever you choose! Just pay the difference if changing plan mid-month.
Do you create ecommerce wesites?
Yes! We have extremely cost effective plans for ecommerce websites. We can build your entire site & store, set up payment & shipping options and teach you how to add products and process orders over a screen-share if you need.
Our free trial allows you to set up your entire shop before making your first payment - so you only begin paying when your website is ready to go live.
Our ecommerce platform is updated regularly to compete with the major players - it's also designed to be super easy to use.

Do you use Wordpress?
We stopped using Wordpress a good while ago - for good reason too. Despite powering an incredible number of websites, it's steep learning curve, unneeded complexity, issues with breaking/updating plugins and third party templates means we'd have to charge or offer "care plans" & "maintenance packages" just to keep your website live, secure and up to date.
We now use our own builder - which is considerably easier to use with a full user-friendly drag and drop style system and full support by us whenever needed.
We now no longer work with Wordpress - and depending on your needs, encourage you to seriously consider against it yourself.
How long does it take to build my website?
This depends entirely on how complex your website is and how quickly you can provide the content that we request. The average time is 10 - 20 days - much less for 1 page page websites.
We don't go live until you are 100% happy.
If you like, we can go live before it is finished and then add more pages as you want them.
For ecommerce sites, simply upload your items and they'll automatically appear in your store without further input from us (unless you'd like specific landing pages for those products) - so the time to create ecommerce sites is very much the same as our static websites.
Membership websites can take a little longer to create because we'll need to create your custom membership area and then provide a 1-to-1 screenshare to guide you through the process of managing members - it's actually very easy.
Will my plan ever increase in price?
No. The price which you signed up to is the price you will continue to pay. If we ever increase the price for that specific plan - it will only affect new customers.
For example, if we increase our SimpleSite 10 plan from £49.99 to £59.99 and you signed up when it was £49.99, you'll never pay more than that. New customers will be charged the current rate.
Do you offer additional "care plans" or "maintenance packages"?
No - it's included anyway. We see lots of web design companies, especially those that charge upfront or build on Wordpress, offer "care plans", "support packages", "maintenance bundles" as an extra service - to us that just doesn't make sense. Why offer a website that doesn't include everything that is needed anyway?
The idea behind it is that they charge you upfront for your website and then make additional money from you via a monthly "retainer". They will heavily encourage you to sign up to these packages and use technical language to convince you that your website may not be updated or secure if you don't sign up. With us, everything updates anyway automatically behind the scenes, and unlike WordPress etc there are no plugin, theme or security updates to make.
Our business model relies on you being out-standed by our service thus staying with us for many years. We don't charge anything upfront and we certainly don't charge extra to update or make you website secure!
TL:DR: Be wary of companies charging more of "care plans".

Who are Kitching Ltd?
Kitching Ltd is a web design company based in Southport, Merseyside. We're only a small company - which means we're dedicated to making each and everyone of our clients succeed online.
Our all-inclusive, fully maintained, pay-monthly websites are at the foundation of what we do - but we offer digital marketing services too.
How does it work?

Is there a set up fee?
Unlike some other pay monthly web design companies, we do not charge a set up fee on any of our plans. There is, of course, an initial upfront cost to us but we don't pass this on to you - our hope is that you'll be so impressed with our service that you'll be staying with us for years to come.
How are payments taken?
Payments are taken every month (or every year if you chose to pay yearly). There is no direct debit to set up - payments are simply charged each month on the date you signed up.
Can I make changes to my site myself?
The beauty of our web designs are that, despite being visually appealing to your target audience, they can actually be changed by you at any time simply by logging into your web builder - changes you make seamlessly copy over to the mobile version of your website too.

Will I like my website?
We certainly hope so! If not then we'll continue to make changes until you are 100% satisfied. For as long as you keep up with your monthly payments, you can request as many updates as you like - both before and after your website goes live.
What about security and SSL?
We use Amazon to host all of our designs - they are one of the biggest names in the industry when it comes to cloud hosting. Our sites are backed up on a daily basis so should you delete it by accident in your builder - we can recover it.
Your site also comes with an SSL certificate. If you plan to sell products on your website, you can reassure your customers that all payments are secure too.
Do you charge fee's per product I sell on my website?
Absolutely not. You can process as many orders as you like in any of our ecommerce plans and we will not charge any fee's what-so-ever.
Please note that your selected payment processors such as PayPal, Stripe or Klarna, may charge a small percentage - this is out of our control but is minimal - usually a % of each order.
